What does the price include?

When renting a car from Eurodollar the price includes: Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) NO EXCESS, Third Party Insurance (TPI), Theft Protection (TP), Fire Protection (FP), 24h Break Down Assist, Unlimited Mileage (UM), VAT and all Local Taxes.

What documents are required to be presented by the driver?

Upon arrival the driver must hold an ID card or passport, also a valid driving license issued at least 12 months before the rental. National driving licenses issued in the EU, UK, SWITZERLAND, ISRAEL are accepted. For all other cases an INTERNATIONAL DRIVING LICENSE is required.

What amount of fuel will the tank have when I pick the car up?

We deliver the car with at least ¼ fuel in tank. The renter must return the car at the same level. Please note that we do not refund for extra fuel left in tank.

What does the fuel policy "Collect with full tank and return empty" mean?

This means you pay locally for a full tank and bring the car back empty or as empty as possible since there are no refunds.

What does the fuel policy "Return as collected" mean?

This means that the car is delivered to the renter with at least ¼ petrol and should be returned at the same level. There are no refunds on extra fuel.

Is there any extra charge to be paid for late night delivery?

Yes, for having your car delivered:
From 21:00 until 00:00 there will be an extra charge of 40€.
From 00:00 until 05:30 there will be a charge of 60€.
From 05:30 until 08:00 there will be a charge of 40€.
The late night delivery fee is payable on arrival.

Can I hire a car without a credit card?

Yes you can. No credit card is required for the rental procedure. We accept credit and debit cards as well as cash. Please note that we do not accept AMERICAN EXPRESS.

Is there a security deposit blocked on my credit card?

There is no amount blocked on your credit card. You only pay the rental fee.

What is CDW?

Collision damage waiver (CDW) is the basic damage coverage available while renting a Eurodollar rental vehicle. The renter is covered in case of damage (i.e. scratches, dents) to the bodywork of the rental vehicle, the doors, the bonnet, the back. ZERO EXCESS IS APPLIED. CDW does not apply when the renter violates the terms and conditions of the rental agreement.

What is TP?

Theft protection (which is included in our insurance package), covers the renter in case the car is stolen during the rental period. TP does not cover any stolen belongings of the renter.

What happens in case of a flat tire during the rental?

In case of a flat tire during the rental, the replacement of a flat tire with a spare is clearly a responsibility of the renter. If the tire is punctured from neglectful driving or by driving on off track roads or non-asphaltic roads the renter will be charged with the expense of the replacement and repair of the tire.

What is a Rental Agreement?

The Rental Agreement (or RA) is the rental contract document between Eurodollar and a client, confirming the liabilities and responsibilities of all parties for the contracted period.

How can I pay for the rental?

We accept credit and debit cards as well as cash

Is there a minimum of rental age?

Age requirement vary depending on the type of the car.
From A GROUP - D2 GROUP from 21 years old
From D GROUP – V1 GROUP from 23 years old

Is there a maximum of rental age?

The maximum acceptable age of the driver is 70 years old.

Is the type/model of car guaranteed?

NO. Vehicles are guaranteed by vehicle group and not model. We undertake to provide an alternative model in the same group with the same specification or higher if the model selected is not available.

What happens if the car I booked is not available?

Eurodollar will provide a vehicle in the next available group with no extra charge.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

In the event of a delayed flight our representative will wait for you with no extra charge. The flight number must be provided while reserving the rental car.

What do I have to do in case I want to change my booking?

All you need to do is send an email to info@rentcars-crete.com and your details will be altered.

Can I have the car delivered at a different location?

Eurodollar can deliver your car at any hotel of Crete providing you have informed before booking the car and accepted the extra charge for the delivery.

What happens if I want to keep the vehicle longer than planned?

If you wish to keep the vehicle longer than the contracted period, our representative should be informed at least 48 hours in advance.

I am arriving at the Airport how do I collect the car?

The pick-up procedure will be described in the confirmation email, which is sent to you after booking the car. However, should you have any queries please contact us on: 00302810281338.

Where do I drop the car off at the end of the hire?

All the instructions will be given to the renter while collecting the car.

What should I do if I breakdown?

Eurodollar provides a 24 hour breakdown service inclusive in all bookings. Therefore, you should contact us at 00302810281338 and state your location.

What should I do if I have an accident?

Immediately contact our 24 hour line 00302810281338 we will talk you through any further action.

Can the price change after confirming?

No. The rental price is final with no extra or hidden charges.

What happens if i receive a traffic fine?

The fine will be sent to your home address stated on the rental agreement by the issuing authority. You are responsible for paying the fine in total.

Can an invoice regarding my rental be issued?

Yes. We can issue an invoice upon request. Please note that it can only be issued after returning the rental vehicle. You must request the invoice when booking the car and send us all the details via email at info@rentcars-crete.com.

Can I rent a car for less than 3 days?

In order to rent a car for less than 3 days please make sure to contact us so we can check availability and provide you with a quote.

Can I return the car during after working hours?

Yes. Please make sure to return the car at the date, time and location stated on the rental agreement. Should you delay to return the car there might be an extra charge applicable. In all cases we must be informed in advance.

What is not included in price?

The insurance does not cover the underbody of the car, the glasses and the tires.

How many drivers are allowed in the rental agreement?

Each rental agreement allows up to 3 drivers. All drivers must present a valid driving license owned for at least 12 months along with their passport or identity card. Note that there is a charge of 3EUR per day per driver.

Can I take the vehicle out of Crete?

No. Driving outside of the island of Crete is forbidden.
